Monster Beats By Dr. Dre Tour

$180.00 Released December, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Unique and attractive visual aesthetic. Decent treble and bass response performs as well as or better than the full-size over-the-ear Beats. Cable seems very durable, stays tangle-free.

The Cons:Sound isolation isn't very good, likely due to the ill-fitting earpieces. Extra-long earpieces aren't very comfortable at all. Lacks a bit in terms of mids, resulting in "cold" sound reproduction.

The Monster Beats By Dr. Dre Tour are a pair of earbud headphones initially announced at CES2008. It’s ultra-portable and features a hip-hop-branded design with red and black coloring. Included are large earbuds that measure an entire inch from end to end, half of which is composed of arms that hold the eartips.

Several sizes of silicone eartips are included, but comfort still remains an issue with many critics. On the bright side, the Tour is known to offer quality audio with bass that can be heard and truly felt. It retails in two formats: one with ControlTalk and one without. The ControlTalk version includes on-cable playback controls for operating an iPod.
