Pioneer SE-CS22
$24.99
Released April, 2007
The Pros:Capable of being very loud when you want them to. Very light and comfortable in your ears. Good thumping bass ideal for music with a beat.
The Cons:Design of the arms makes them tip out of your ears and fall out. Highs can be a bit harsh. Mids get overwhelmed by the highs and lows right away.
The Pioneer SE-CS22 is a low-cost set of in-ear headphones. These headphones are a step up from the lower cost SE-CE11-K model in a few ways. First, with 100mW of maximum input, this model can handle over three times as much power as the SE-CE11-K (which can only handle up to 30mW).

Another way in which the SE-CS22 is a step up is its included set of earphone chips, which seal up your ears to reduce external noise. At five grams, the SE-CS22 model also weighs a gram less than the SE-CE11-K. Features shared by the two models include a pair of soft earpads that are geared toward upping the comfort factor. Another shared feature is the gold-plated 3.5mm plug, which will corrode at a slower pace than a traditional plug.
