Sennheiser IE 7
$300.00
Released March, 2008
The Pros:Good isolation - will allow you to enjoy your music in loud environments without entirely removing you from your surroundings. Dynamic driver provides punchier low end compared to balanced armature. More balanced than the IE 6.
The Cons:Very expensive. Dynamic driver requires a large and irregularly shaped body. Strange looking.
First introduced at CES in January of 2008, the latest lineup of high end, dynamically driven earphones from Sennheiser consists of the IE 6, IE 7 and IE 8. Released later in March, the IE 7 features the same isolation (up to 26dB) as the other two models, and strikes a middle ground - sporting a 10 - 19,000Hz frequency response that is more balanced than the IE 6, yet less extended than the IE 8.
