The Pros:Wide variety of color options appeal to male and female users of all age groups - significantly increases potential customer base. Overall audio quality is fantastic - music playback is clear and defined, with excellent voice tracking via in-line microphone. Noise cancellation is very effective - many users report a completely isolated listening environment starting at as low as 50% volume level.
The Cons:Somewhat difficult to hear the other party when communicating via built-in microphone - many users are forced to remove one earbud and/or maximize the volume level. Headset is relatively uncomfortable - many users report pain/discomfort when initially seating the earbuds, with continued strain throughout extended listening.
Skullcandy's 50/50 is a mid-range set of earbuds with a compact and stylish chrome design and polycarbonate casing. One of its main features is an in-line microphone, track and volume controls, making these ideal for use with phones and portable media players.
Note that the volume controls only work with specific Apple products: see the company webpage for details. These come with 3 different sizes of silicon earcups that isolate sound and provide a comfortable fit. The drivers are 11mm and emphasize bass playback. Cord length is 1.3 metres and the 3.5mm jack is gold-plated. These are available in a variety of colours
