The soft design of the loop hangers makes them able to fit a wide range of ear sizes.  The MDR-AS20J have 13.5 mm drivers with Neodymium magnets which combine to provide clear sound and powerful bass.  The have a 2 ft cord which makes it possible to use them with an arm-band as well as a 2 ft extension cord.  The cord also has a detachable clip and a gold-plated straight stereo plug.  The MDR-AS20J are a little less flexible in sizing in comparison with Sony's MDR-AS40EX since they don't come with the various earbud and hanger sizes that the MDR-AS40EX includes.
