Sony MDR-ED12LP
$15.00
Released May, 2006
The Pros:Fit in good. It certainly offers excellent quality sound..for a small price.. It uses the same driver(16mm-the largest for any closed type headfone)as in $299 sony MDR-EX700LP.
The Cons:C'mmon at d price..u cant get better than this..no cons. The most horrible thing you can buy for this money. It is nothing more than a cheap $2 ear plug.
Marketed towards consumers as an alternative to their stock buds or basic headphones, the Sony MDR-ED12LP is a low priced dynamically driven earbud. At $14.99, the MDR-ED12LP is driven by a 16mm driver, tweaked to be especially bassy.

Available at many locations for merely half their MSRP, the MDR-ED12LP are truly a bottom of the barrel option. It is important to know that it is very unlikely that any 10 dollar earbud will sound good. Sony's poor warranty may also be an issue, but at only 15 dollars, such a loss may not be as hard to bear as the $299 MDR-EX700LP. Available in blue, gold, red and silver.
