The MDR-EX700LP is Sony's flagship dynamically driven IEM. Marketed towards consumers and audiophiles alike, the MDR-EX700LP has been recently updated with a new multiple layer diaphragm to further improve the sound quality.

At $299, the MDR-EX700LP is a strange beast. While not providing any isolation for use on-the-go, a full sized headphone at this price point would most likely improve comfort and sound quality for listening in a quiet environment. Sony's poor warranty may also be an issue for those interested in investing in such an expensive earphone.
